Apple is introducing a new form factor for its smartphone lineup with iPhone Duo, a foldable iPhone designed to combine a compact phone experience with a much larger screen for work, entertainment and everyday tasks. Apple says pre-orders begin Friday, October 16.

A foldable design with two display experiences

When opened, iPhone Duo offers a 7.58-inch inner display, while its outer screen measures about 5.36 inches diagonally. Apple positions the larger screen as a flexible space for watching content, gaming and working with apps side by side. The company also describes the opened device as its thinnest iPhone yet.

Performance, cameras and software

The device is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and runs iOS 27, with interface changes designed to respond as the phone folds or opens.
