iPhone Duo Resale Prices Are Insane: Listings Reach Nearly $67,500

Post by

🙈 Imagine paying the price of a luxury car for a smartphone. Screenshots circulating online show eye-watering resale listings for Apple’s rumoured foldable-style iPhone Duo, including one asking $67,420.69 for a 1TB Star White preorder.

A second listing shown in the screenshot advertises a 256GB Star White model for $29,999. The figures have sparked conversation about just how far launch hype and resale speculation can go.

Are these actual selling prices?

Not necessarily. These are asking prices shown on marketplace listings, not proof that buyers paid those amounts. Recent reporting has documented much lower completed resale transactions, including a reported sale around $5,000 for a 2TB model originally priced at $3,199 in the US.

That is still a substantial premium—but it is a very different story from a $67,420 asking price. As with any high-demand product, a listing price should never be confused with a confirmed sale.

Why are resellers asking so much?

Strong demand, limited early availability and long delivery estimates can encourage sellers to test extreme prices. Some buyers may pay extra to avoid waiting, while many listings may never sell at the advertised amount.

Before buying from a reseller, check the full listing, seller history, delivery terms and buyer protection. Be especially careful when the seller is offering a preorder or order confirmation rather than a device already in hand.

Would you pay this much for an iPhone?

At nearly $67,500, even the most dedicated Apple fan might think twice. Is this next-level Apple hype, or have resellers gone completely crazy? 🙈🔥
